Lime Essential Oil
Our Therapeutic Grade Lime comes to us all the way from Mexico and is an outstanding example of this truly fabulous citrus oil. Fresh, sharp, citrus. This steam distilled version is packed with top notes and is a yellow to pale green colour.
This is the oil I keep in my car, use in our office diffuser and is always on the go in my house. This is a fabulous oil and amazing value for money. Possibly our best buy! We also offer a cold pressed lime with the same marvellous scent but a deep, almost “dirty green” colour. Perfect for soaps where you do not wish to add additional colour.
The health benefits of Lime oil can be attributed to its properties as an antiseptic, antiviral, astringent, aperitif, bactericidal, disinfectant, febrifuge, haemostatic, restorative and tonic substance. In my home, it is the go to oil along with Tea Tree if we need an antiseptic. Lime essential oil can help cure infections, protect against their development, and contains antiseptic properties. It is said to prevent tetanus if you are wounded by something made of iron.
When externally applied, lime oil can cure infections on the skin and in wounds. It is claimed to be effective in curing sores, gangrene, psoriasis, ulcers, rashes, carbuncles, and other similar problems. It can help with viral infections of the respiratory system, such as flu, mumps, coughs, colds, and measles.

HOW TO USE
Baths - Blend 5-8 drops in a teaspoon of carrier oil and add to bath
Massages - Add 2-3 drops of essential oils to 1 tablespoonful of carrier oil
Vapourisation - Add 2-4 drops of essential oils to a burner, aroma stone or aroma stream
