Nutmeg Essential Oil
Nutmeg is an underused oil. Warm, sweet, almost spicy, this Indonesian marvel is packed with middle notes and adds depth to blends and even a splash of its golden colour.
When well diluted and used only as a gargle it is said it help address bad breath issues. However, its principle use tends to be in massage blends where it can relieve muscle pain, swelling, inflammation and is said to improve circulation.
Often it is found in sleeping blends as it is thought to have sedative and calming effects which is slightly at odds with its other claimed benefit of being a stimulant in helping with exhaustion and anxiety. We add it to our detox massage blend in small quantities as it is thought to remove toxins form the liver.
TOP TIP: to de stress try adding 3-4 drops to your diffuser.
