what is a fragrance oil?
We took this definition from Wikepedia since it is so succinct.
Fragrance oil, also known as aroma oils or aromatic oils, are blended synthetic aroma compounds or natural essential oils that are diluted with a carrier like propylene glycol, vegetable oil or mineral oil.
To allergic or otherwise sensitive people, synthetic fragrance oils are often less desirable than plant-derived essential oils. However synthetic versions of the same compound as a natural essential oil are usually very comparable. Furthermore, natural oils are in many cases significantly more expensive than their synthetic equivalents.
We love essential oils but recognise that for certain applications they are not always the best solution. In bath bombs and soaps where the products may sit on a sill for quite some time, fragrance oils may last a little longer in terms of scent. In candle or diffuser making, where therapeutic benefits are not the prime aim, fragrance oils will invariably work out cheaper if you are working to a tight budget.

- Concentrated oil ideal for use in oil burners and saunas
- Candles: 10% Dilution
- Reed Diffusers: 20 - 30% Dilution
- Soap: 2% Dilution

Our Fragrance Oils are not tested on animals.
We recommend you test the fragrance oil thoroughly in your products. The fragrance oil may have a different aroma straight out of the bottle than the same oil mixed with other ingredients.
Our fragrance oils are non returnable due to contamination risks. We offer test vials as a small quantity to test in your products, before committing to a larger more expensive quantity.

Shelf Life - Our fragrance oils all have a shelf life in excess of 24 months. However, as with any oil we recommend using it within 24 months of opening as the strength may weaken after this time
Storage - Keep lids on and integral droppers in place - Always keep in Original Bottles - Keep out of the reach of Children and Pets - Store out of Direct Sunlight at normal room temperature
Use - Do not consume. If consumed seek medical attention/advice immediately.
- Fragrance oils when used undiluted and not handled properly can be irritating to skin and cause damage to eyes. Wash off skin with soap and water, seek medical advice if irritation continues. Rinse eye/s with plenty of water for 10 minutes. Seek medical attention.
- Avoid excessive inhalation and use in a ventilated area.
- Most fragrance oils are dangerous to aquatic life and can cause long-term adverse effects. May also contaminate soil. Dispose of un-wanted oils responsibly. We suggest you contact your local council for advice.
