Neroli Pure Essential Oil Variations
This wonderful deep orange oil is brought to us from Tunisia and is bursting with rich, floral., long lasting middle notes that can also be honeyed and even slightly metallic. It has a strong tradition of being associated with purity and brides, as they traditionally wore the orange buds in their hair.
In aromatherapy, it is valued for its calming and relaxing scent, which is said to act as a tranquilizer that can help alleviate anxiety and heart palpitations, relieve insomnia and even help prevent or treat stress-related depression. Its fragrance is said to also help alleviate digestive issues. But this comes at a price, since Neroli is one of the most expensive absolutes.
A cost-conscious alternative is either a 5% or 10% Pure Neroli blend. We take the specified amount of Pure, Natural Neroli Absolute and carefully add it to a grapeseed carrier oil. Great as a starting point for blends and works out about the same price as synthetic fragrance oil for other projects. The scent is less strong than the 100% oil but is a viable cost effective alternative.
Obviously, we supply the fragrance oil as well, but this blend is a natural half way house in terms of price and value for a non-synthetic product. The scent is obviously less strong due to the dilution but it is still sweet, flowery, light and mildly herbaceous. If you do not need pure, this is a very cost effective alternative.
For the first time ever, we are also adding a Nature Identical (NI) Neroli Oil and it is so hard to explain what it is. The starting point is a traditional oil which will have certain naturally occurring chemicals as components. But these natural components also exist in other essential oils that are not as expensive, so they are harvested from the cheaper oils and added to the base starting oil to enhance its properties. In extreme case, a whole oil can be constructed this way without the need for the original Neroli. Usually nothing in the oil is synthetic in anyway. It is commonly just a bunch of naturally occurring components grouped together to make a Nature Identical Oil for reasons of cost or consistency. Oil prices have rocketed in the last 12 months and varied by more than 100% at times, due to very low yields. NI oils are our way of offering value to our clients who are comfortable with this alternative. We describe is as NI/Cosmetic/Reconstituted oil, As the exact make up is a closely guarded secret by each producer, we cannot guarantee that a component or components are not partially or wholly synthetic.
We also supply the fragrance oil as well where aromatherapy benefits are not sought. See fragrance oils.
