Rose Maroc Essential Oil Variations
FACT: There is roughly 0.02 percent essential oil in every rose blossom, meaning you need at least 60,000 roses to produce just an ounce of oil. The solvent extraction used to make rose absolute oil is actually more efficient than the traditional steam distillation (used to make rose otto). This is why it is so expensive.
Who doesn’t love the rich, floral, penetrating fragrance, reminiscent of an English country garden. Brimming with middle notes and packed with therapeutic benefits, for example how it is said to affects depression. It is almost impossible to take a whiff of a powerful rose and not smile. It is uplifting and energising. If you’re ever feeling anxious or low, try putting five drops of rose and five drops of lavender in a diffuser by your nightstand before bed.
There are many qualities of rose essential oil that make it beneficial for skin. The antimicrobial and aromatherapy benefits alone are good reason to put a few drops in your DIY lotions and creams. It is felt that when rose is added to your beauty and skin products, it opens up your skin to absorb more of the chemicals and nutrients.
Not forgetting libido! Because it is said to act as an anti-anxiety agent, rose essential oil can greatly help men with sexual dysfunction related to performance anxiety and stress. It has also been reported that it can help balance sex hormones, which can contribute to increased sex drive.
Rose is a truly fabulous oil in terms of its properties and its amazing scent. The problem is that it can cost more than £3000 a kilo which makes it difficult to afford. We offer two solutions. Firstly we blend 5% rose oil with 95% grapeseed. The aroma is obviously less strong but never the less means you can enjoy the benefits of rose maroc essential oil. As the name suggests we source the oil in Morocco and it is rich, floral and heady with a great middle note. The colour may be surprizing in that it is a deep orange/yellow. Said to be uplifting, antiseptic, aphrodisiac, emmenagogue, and calming, When comparing our 5% blend pricing with others, check to see they are offering a 5% dilution as many offer only 3%, which we believe to be a little thin.
If you require greater depth of fragrance try the 10% blend. It is significantly stronger than the 5% and offers a noticeable difference.
We are also listing here, for the first time, a Nature Identical version as an alternative. NI oils are produced when an inexpensive version of an oil in enhanced by naturally occurring components of that oil, sourced from another oil. As such the contents are natural and not synthetic. Think of it as a top up of one or more components. Alternatively, NI oils can be made by simply collecting all the individual natural components of an oil and blending them together for depth of scent of consistency purposes. They are usually a little cheaper (but never as cheap as a 5% blend) and always significantly more expensive than weak synthetic fragrance oils. We find clients use NI for candles, soap and aroma making but not necessarily for massage although as the oils are not synthetic, they could easily be used. CAUTION Sellers may offer NI oils as Pure (because they are) but clearly, they are not natural in that they involve blending or augmentation.
