Sesame seed Carrier Oil
These super Organic Sesame Oils have been long recognised for their healing properties and ability to slow down the ageing process of the skin. It is a stable, rapidly absorbed base oil that is high in oleic and linoleic acids, Vitamin A, Vitamin B, Vitamin E, Calcium, Magnesium and Phosphorous.
It is a golden yellow oil, with a pleasant sweet scent and with a medium texture. Cold pressed of course. Coldrefers to the item being kept at a low temperature during pressing and “pressed means the method of extraction. This method indicates that little or no heat or chemical additives were used to extract the oil (which can alter or destroy the flavours or aromas of the oil). It is a very natural way of producing the oil. The seed kernel or nut is crushed, forcing out the oil. items are dropped inside a cylinder that contains a rotating screw. This screw grinds and crushes the seeds until the oil is extracted. Small holes in the bottom of the cylinder allow the oil to escape into a container.
Often called the Queen of Oils due to its many and varied properties. It is naturally antibacterial for common skin pathogens, such as staphylococcus and streptococcus as well as common skin fungi, such as athlete’s foot fungus. It is naturally antiviral. It is a natural anti-inflammatory agent.
Used after exposure to wind or sun it will calm the burns. It nourishes and feeds the scalp to control dry scalp dandruff and to kill dandruff causing bacteria. It protects the skin from the effects of chlorine in swimming pool water. Used before and after radiation treatments, sesame seed oil helps neutralize the flood of oxygen radicals which such treatment inevitably causes.
On the skin, oil soluble toxins are attracted to sesame seed oil molecules which can then be washed away with hot water and a mild soap. Internally, the oil molecules attract oil soluble toxins and carry them into the blood stream and then out of the body as waste.
WOW! An all-rounder of an oil and worth investigation. Lots of great information on Google.
